As slow as January was, the month of February made up for it! We are finally moving again! The youth had a great time attending a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game together! This month the middle and high school youth are planning to go midnight bowling. Everyone who wants to join us is welcome! We will meet at Buffalo Lanes on 401 at 11:30pm on Friday, March 23. Please see me if you are interested!
This year’s Easter egg hunt will be held in conjunction with our Resurrection Art Show on Sunday, March 25th! I am collecting candy to stuff eggs with already. All donations are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the office. There will be fun activities for kids of all ages at this awesome event! Friends and family are encouraged to attend as well! Remember, this will be a single service Sunday at 10:00am, and the celebration will begin at 11:00am.
Oftentimes, young people feel powerless when it comes to making a difference or helping people because they don’t have their own income to use to help themselves—much less others. However, the youth at FVPC have such a strong desire to do something for others that they spent time brainstorming ways that they can help the less fortunate without spending money. We have decided that we can help other teens in our community who need clothes. We will be donating our gently used clothing to Fuquay Middle and Fuquay High school and Church in the Woods. If you would like to help us, there are collection bins (one for males and one for females) in the youth room. We will keep you posted on the success of this mission! This is one small way that WE can go out to BE the Church!
Love in Christ!
